Overview:
It is for kids of ages 8- 13 years. Gond art is tribal art which originated in Madhya Pradesh, where it is still practiced even today (by one of the largest tribes). Gond art is composed of simplified patterns likes dots and lines. It is inspired by nature. Gond word comes from Dravidian language where Kona means "green mountains".
The artist cum teacher is a very experienced person. She is an experienced art teacher in indian folk arts. Her name is Nidhi Desai. Has been teaching arts for last few years. She lives in India.
The other artist who teaches Gond folk art is Ms. Prasanna Lakshmi. She is a trained artist one has been teaching folk arts for the last few years. She lives in NC, US.

Materials: Good quality papers of 300gsm for practice A4 size, black permanent markers, acrylic colors, paint brushes, basic stationery (pencils, eraser, ruler) Optional canvas
Process:
Introduction and story-telling about the Arts
Show them painting references
Basic patterns and lines practice
Any two-three Motifs drawing practice (Birds/Animals)
Class 3
Show them color techniques
Class 4
One whole paintings composition using Motifs learnt in Session 2
The fees for the course is charged on a monthly basis. In a month, there will be 4 live classes, one class a week for 1 hour. Teacher will be giving feedback and taking questions/doubts from the students.
