Overview:

Meenakari painting is inspired by the Meenakari jewelry which originated in Persia and was brought to India by the Mughal invaders. Meenakari is a process of coloring and painting the surfaces of metals and ceramic tiles through enameling. We take inspiration from this technique and teach meenakari paintings with materials which are easily available to us. The art course is designed in a such a way that it provides a tool for imagination and creativity.

It is for people 16 years and above. This course will be taught by a very experienced teacher and a talented artist herself. Her name is Rishita Shah. She lives in India.

Materials for Project (Peacock or Lotus)

1) circle canvas (10 inches diameter) 
2) printout (we will provide) 
3) cello tape 
4) yellow carbon paper A4 size (2 pcs)
5) any pen (for tracing) 
6) pearl white acrylic paint (about 15 ml) 
7) 3D Liner (gold)
8) Glass colors (unicorn spit - green, blue, orange)
9) Meenas (transparent white rhinestones - circle shape 0.6 mm roughly 150 pcs and drop shape 1 cm roughly 20 pcs)
10) Glue 
11) Rough cloth 
12) any glass/ cup to hold cone 
13) toothpicks (5 to 6 pcs)
14) earbuds (4 to 5 pcs)
15) Spray varnish
16) Plastic to make a cone
17) rough papers (2 art sheets) for some practice work

 

Curriculum:

Will be doing 1 project for basic for level 1(beginner) Meenakari . You can make peacock or lotus. It will be project completed in 8 classes. 

Process:
The fee for the course is charged project basis. 1 class a week for 1 hour. Should be completed in 8 hours/8 classes. Teacher will be giving feedback and taking questions/doubts from the students.
