Overview:
Learn hindustani classical music. Anyone 6 years and above.
The class will be conducted by our teacher Miss Aditi Majumdar, a masters in the art of Hindustani classical music. As a Hindustani classical music teacher with a passion for nurturing and imparting the rich heritage of this traditional Indian art form. With years of dedication, training, and experience, has become a respected authority in the realm of Hindustani classical music. Beyond the role as a teacher, I actively contribute to the Hindustani classical music community. I am also involved in preserving and promoting this art form by conducting workshops, lectures, and demonstrations to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of Hindustani classical musicians.

Course Framework:
Music Theory: Covering fundamental concepts such as notation, rhythm, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, and harmony.
Ear Training: Developing skills in listening, recognizing musical elements, intervals, chords, and melodies by ear.
Sight-Reading: Teaching students how to read and interpret sheet music accurately and efficiently.
Music History: Exploring different periods, styles, and composers throughout history, providing a context for understanding and appreciating various genres of music.
Instrumental/Vocal Technique: Providing instruction on proper playing or singing techniques specific to the instrument or voice type the students are learning.
Ensemble Performance: Encouraging students to participate in group performances, such as bands, orchestras, choirs, or chamber groups, to develop teamwork, communication, and musical interpretation skills.
Music Composition and Arranging: Introducing students to the principles of composing and arranging music, including melody, harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration.
Music Technology: Incorporating the use of music software, digital audio workstations, and recording equipment to enhance students' understanding and application of technology in music creation.
Music Appreciation: Exposing students to a wide range of musical genres, styles, and cultures to foster an appreciation and understanding of diverse musical traditions.
Performance Skills: Offering guidance on stage presence, public speaking, overcoming stage fright, and other performance-related skills.
Professional Development: Encouraging ongoing professional growth through attending workshops, conferences, and staying updated with current trends and research in music education.
Process:
The music course is an online monthly subscription based course. There will be 1 online live class a week for 45 minutes, hence 4 classes a month. Teacher will be giving feedback and taking questions/doubts from the students. Classes will be held on Zoom (the link would be emailed upon enrollment).
